Your yiayia has a mustache

A collection of sounds (both created and found), images, and objects displayed together to show their unassuming relatedness. This work references my maternal great-grandmother’s journey to America after becoming a refugee in the early 1900s. This event sparked new threads of identities in my family. These threads are often not linear but a tangled sphere. In this work, I reference cosplay, greek traditions, and tarot cards with costumes, sound, plush sculpture, and truly silly translations.
